eating a log

A bog-roll type log?

When my Grandma was alive, we would all go out to her farmhouse for a huge dinner.  There were around 20 people so we'd eat all over the house.

One time, one of my cousins came up behind another one of my cousins and bonked him on the head w/a huge book.....hard.

The bonkee got up and used some wrestling move on the bonker and slammed him to the floor, injuring the bonker's shoulder.

An uncle flew out of his chair and slammed the bonkee down onto the floor and yelled in his face.

Both the bonkee and the bonker were crying, even though they were teenagers, and the rest of the day was equally wonderful!

Stand pie is traditional at Christmas. It's Panto' season at Christmas time, a fine British tradition. Getting hammered down the pub is a great tradition. It's also the only time of year that most people will eat brussel sprouts

WATCHING SCROOGE ON CHRISTMAS EVE! EASTING ITALIAN FOOD CHRISTMAS DAY, AND POLISH FOOD CHRISTMAS EVE. AND NO MEAT TOO! AND I STILL LOVE ALL THOSE CHILDREN'S SPECIALS TOO! ALSO, MY GRANDMOTHER WAS POLISH, AND SHE USED TO BUY SOMETHING CALLED "OPLATKE" IT LOOKS SOMETHING LIKE A WAFER YOU GET IN CHURCH WHEN A CATHOLIC RECEIVES COMMUNION. ANYWAY, EACH PERSON GETS A PIECE OF IT, YOU GO TO THE NEXT PERSON, BREAK A PIECE OFF, AND WISH THEM A MERRY CHRISTMAS IN POLISH. THE PERSON WHO IS LEFT WITH NO BREAD AT ALL IS SUPPOSED TO RECEIVE A SPECIAL BLESSING THAT COMING YEAR. ALSO, WE ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS GAVE SOMEONE A SLINKEY FOR CHRISTMAS IN THE FAMILY WHEN WE WERE KIDS!

there's a pole. It requires no decoration. I find tinsel distracting.
