Vitamin Injections (B12, C, etc...)
« on: December 05, 2006, 10:04:31 AM »
I've been giving myself B12 injections for years. I also sometimes add a little to my gear (I've noticed it lessens some of the soreness at the injection sites).  Anyway, I was wondering if how many of you guys also take/do B12 (or any vitamin) injections? I recently got some injectable Vitamin C & it was hell. I injected 1ml of it & it was a horrible experience. It felt like I was injecting fire. My whole leg was on fire for about an hour.

I've done B12 as well. How frequently and what dosage do you use?

Usually about 1ml (1000mcg) a week.

Never felt a thing at 1cc. Do you?

Not at all. It's painless. Now Vitamin C on the other hand is extremly painful.

It's an acid; I guess it's expected. Much like Acetic acid with LR3-IGF. I would be curious to try subQ to see if it's as bad...

What I meant with B12, do you feel a energy boost?

I forget that that Vitamin C's an acid. That explains a lot.

I noticed I feel good when I take B12. It's kind of a general feeling of well being.

Rim,

do you take a B Complex mix or just B12 (Cyanocobalamin)?

Usually just B12. I take about 10 Liver Tablets a day which have a lot of B-Vitamins so I don't worry too much about taking a B-Complex vitamin.

I do B12 every week its water soluble so there is no toxicity.  It also helps the red blood cells

Do we need a script for these?

I'm not sure.

You're a strange lil' ewok...   :-\

Take your vitamins orally, Rimbauder.

Save the injections for your AAS stash.

Take your vitamins orally, Rimbauder.

I usually do but from what I've read the body can't absorb too much B12 when it's taken in tablet form.

Take B-12 by itself orally intead of with a multi-vitamin.

Those multi's are a waste because some of the vitamins cannot be absorbed in the presence of others.

It defeats the purpose of a multi if you are only getting some of the vitamin content.

I usually only take the following: one mulit-vitamin, one multi-mineral, & 1000mg of vitamin C.

I keep a stash of B-Complex around for the rare occassions I decide to go out & have more then a couple drinks.

If you're going to take b12 it should be done by injection, otherwise you would need to take an entire bottle of tabs per dose. The problem with b12 when taken orally is that the GI tract destroys almost everybit of it before it can be useful.

Exactly. DIV, check your B12 vitamin bottle. How many pills would you have to take to equate 1000mcg? B12 absorbition is limited by liver enzyms flutuation (the more protein you eat the less B12 absorbtion you get, meat contains a lot so the body's enzymes are programmed according to the abundance)

Injection is the way to go... just be careful subq. I bruise like a prune when not careful. 8)

I'm not a vitamin, supplement guy.....

But I do know the multi-vitamins are a waste.
