Are those automatic shower cleaners the height of laziness?

They seem to work if you can remember to push the button 

I've only had to clean the showers once since using them and with about 1/2 the effort as usual so they work pretty well, but not perfectly.  I give them 1 1/2 thumbs up out of 2
