Bones can be considerably thicker (Yates) as well as the bone structure (Yates), which effects the actual volume of muscle and the difference in waist to shoulder & upper arm to wrist ratios, to name a couple.

Plus the muscle size can vary widely in placement: Platz compared with Padilla for example.

It's possible that Dorian has a greater muscle fiber density, and this makes a muscle heavier.  - Dorian's frame is thicker, but Ronnie's bones weight more. They even out. Check.

 - Dorian's muscle bellies are as long as Ronnie's, only not as round. Check.

 - Roundness of muscles have no bearing in muscle weight. Check.

 - Dorian arguably had greater muscle fiber density than Ronnie. Check.

 - Increased muscle fiber density makes a muscle heavier. Check.

 - They weighted the same. Check.

 - Dorian arguably had less sub-cutaneuous water. Check.
