Led Zep- imo.

I think my three favourite bands are Pink Floyd, Queen and Led Zep. I haven't heard much of the Stones, so I can't really comment though $:-\$

Well, yes. Led Zep and the stones had one lead singer, so they couldn't be describe as a bunch of singers.

Further, they were hardly gay.

Bit of a trick question/poser. All three were seminal bands and great, GREAT, in their own rights. It comes down to personal taste. Love the Beatles, but I consider them a pop band, and my sensibilities are more rock oriented, so it would be a toss-up between the Zepp and Stones. I choose both.

Led Zep are untouchable. The best drummer, the best bassist / keyboardist, the best singer and of course the best guitarrist. They invented all the cliches we associate with rock music - the underage girls, the drink, the drugs, the obsecne ammounts of money etc etc. Oh, they also wrote the greatest rock songs ever written.
