It was either a set up, or that guy has the faggiest punch in all the land.
Shore is also very good at moving his head in the direction the punch would have taken it....BEFORE the punch gets there.

I can tell from your expert opinion that you have never seen a person punched in the head before. Your questions:

Where was the "PUNCH" sound I'm so used to hearing on the television like when Bo punches Boss Hog?
Where was the other TV camera angle so I could see the punch actually connecting?
Since when does a guy go down from one punch? Ethan Hunt got hit in the face 26 times in the last scene in MI2 and he only went down once.
Where is the TV blood spurting out of Paulie's eye like Rocky when he gets hit by Clubber Lang?

The punch looks very telegraphed in my opinion.  i.e. the windup was a bit excessive for such a short punch.  Appears to be nothing more then a publicity stunt to get some attention.

Getting dunked in water for six minutes and nearly drowning in an attempt to convince people you're Houdini = PUBLICITY STUNT
Getting out of a limousine in front of a hundred papparazzi in a mini-skirt with no underwear and a shaven vagina = PUBLICITY C.U.N.T
Getting punched in the eye onstage in front of 30 drunk people in Oklahoma with only a cell phone to capture the video = PUBLIC HUMILIATION

why in the hell would security wait till little Polly hits the ground to intervein? secondly the security dude just nonchalantly escorts him away after Polly "CLEARLY" takes a blow to the dome. just seems a bit weird?

I've seen a few punches in my life, and that was one of the lamest.
If you can't see that was a set up to get the "WEASEL" some exposure, then feel free to post another witty retort.

Definately fake. Security would have tackled that fucker as soon as he hit the stage.

Hmmmm...I guess we'll have to wait and see if this exposure helps him get a sitcom or Jury Duty 2.

Most shiitty little comedy clubs don't even have security.

I think it was real. Pauly was backing up and apologizing as the guy approached him. Had it been a setup, Pauly would've gotten nose to nose with the guy.

As far as the punch, the guy isn't a pro fighter, probably hadn't thrown a punch in a while and  wasn't warmed up. The punch SHOULD'VE looked bad.

People might think I'm naive to believe this, but it's also naive to think EVERYTHING is a setup.

Before the punch, when was the last time you thought/heard about Pauly Shore?
I'm sure Sean Astin is ready for another Encino Man.

Then, why would he set it up in a way that makes himself look so bad?

He comes off as a big mouth baby who can't back up his words or defend himself.

I don't know.....he played such a macho tough guy his whole career, maybe he's just ready for a change.

He sure was tough telling the guy to "Shut the f**k up" but when the guy bum rushed the stage, no more tough guy.

To me, that's realistic, not a set-up.
