Whats wrong with Gold diggers?

I've been reading so many comments all over these boards about people being gold-diggers,
...in such an irreverent way. This got me to thinking... what is wrong with gold-diggers?

I was called a gold digger by Ukgold.  That was after he called me ugly because I was Australian??

Don't worry Forbidden, ...understand that Gold-diggers are good.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with being a gold-digger.

Nothing really.  I think in many cases both parties know what the deal is:  woman provides companionship, man provides the coin (or vice versa).

and I have another theory:  I'm not sure whether it's about gold-digging (I've never done that), or about social climbing.  All the best, funniest, cleverest people are at the top.

I don't think there's anything wrong with gold-digging, provided you don't drown someone on the way, it's like that social ladder that you don't want to fall off in case you hit someone on the way down that you trampled on on the way up.

gold diggers suck . . . not surprised to see my favorite jag defending them.  She is the quintessential parasite.  being a parasite is required for people who want to participate in pyramid schemes (or whatever bs term they're calling it now).

I happen to have visited on of these type of schemes a few years ago, herbalife. Ooh brother, a lot of gold diggers clapping hands when one of those imaginary heroes climbed the stage to be worshipped by the crowd.

Very scary, never went back...
