« on: December 18, 2006, 03:26:18 PM »
11 countries warned the US about the attacks of 911 beforehand

cia received a list of 200 suspects before 911

rice warned bush about a possible hijacking

us government ignored warnings by several FBI agents, in particular the Pheonex memo

mohammed atta was identified as a leader of an al qaeda cell in 2000 (defense did not give out this information) ... he piloted the flight that hit tower 1

after warning of first hijacking it took 100 minutes to get a fighter off the ground

the fbi confirmed that lt mahmood ahmed of the pakastani isi(ie pakastani intelligence) asked omar sayed shak to wire 100,000 to atta yet the 911 commission said it was unknown where the funding came from and of no great importance

i agree with this 100%.. but what your saying is going against any conspericy theory you have. why would we have these warnings if it was an inside job. the government underestimate the terrorist. thats why soon after the attacks they knew exactly who did it. everyone in the government admits to what you posted,, so what your point? i actually think thats taken strait out of the commision report

you have intelligence agencies from arond the world warning the US over and over, in some cases specifically, and they are all ignored

you have FBI agents who were prevented from investigating suspected terrorists and bin ladens from the highest levels of the bureau and directly from the oval office as well

over 50 times in the year leading up to 911 fighter planes were scrambled to intercept planes for whatever reason, it was routine ... yet on 911 it took 100 minutes to get anyhting in the air

most damning is the ISI involvement, because there is no way they would have been working outside the watchful eye of the CIA

Actually the ISI worked outside of the US knowledge until after 9-11.
The Americans had a trade embargo with Pakistan because of the Nuclear developed Nuclear weapons.
If America knew what was going on in Pakistan, there would have been no nukes for Pakistan.

The Wall Street Journal was one of the few Western news organizations to follow up on the story, citing the Times of India: "US authorities sought [Gen. Mahmud Ahmed's] removal after confirming the fact that $100,000 [was] wired to WTC hijacker Mohammed Atta from Pakistan by Ahmad Umar Sheikh at the instance of Gen Mahumd."[6] The best coverage came from The Daily Excelsior, reporting "The FBI’s examination of the hard disk of the cellphone company Omar Sheikh had subscribed to led to the discovery of the "link" between him and the deposed chief of the Pakistani ISI, Gen. Mehmood Ahmed. And as the FBI investigators delved deep, sensational information surfaced with regard to the transfer of 100,000 dollars to Mohammed Atta, one of the Kamikaze pilots who flew his Boeing into the World Trade Centre. Gen. Mehmood Ahmed, the FBI investigators found, fully knew about the transfer of money to Atta."[7]

According to the Washington Post, "on the morning of Sept. 11, [Porter] Goss and [Bob] Graham were having breakfast with a Pakistani general named Mahmud Ahmed -- the soon-to-be-sacked head of Pakistan's intelligence service"[8] On September 12 and 13, Lt. Gen. Mahmood met with United States Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage, Senator Joseph Biden, the Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and Secretary of State Colin Powell. An agreement on Pakistan's collaboration in the new "war on terror" was negotiated between Mahmood and Armitage.[9][10][11][12] Lt Gen Mehmood Ahmed then lead a six-member delegation to the Afghan city of Kandahar in order to hold crisis talks with the Taliban leadership, supposedly in an attempt to persuade them to hand over Osama bin Laden.[13]

The ISI's top general had breakfast with a future 911 commission member and future CIA boss on the morning of 9/11, just days after he wired 100,000 to Atta.

We were through this before you are skewing the story.
We will use peoples names and ranks.

America was talking to General Mahmoud, but they were not aware of his links to the Taliban, or to Al Qaeda.
This was due to nuclear programs and weapons materials that Pakistan had given to Iran.

Lt General Mahmoud - ISI Said to have order a money transfer.

Omar Sheikh- Performed the money transfer

Your statement about the ISI means that America was complacent in Pakistan developing Nuclear arms, selling the technology to Iran, encouraging and fostering the Kashmir war, and funding the Taliban.
Pakistan is a dirty country with much hidden from view. They learned a lot from Russia.
