BAD SQUATTING ACCIDENT!!

this happened last night at my cousin steve pulcinella's gym. the mans patellar tendon explodes as he is getting ready to squat....not pretty

Ouch, that had to hurt.
Seems to be truthful that a majority of accidents in the squat occur while walking in or out.

whats with the disclaimer at the beginning?  i was expecting something gross.  it looked to me like he was trying to do the splits with that weight.   Nobody that is serious squats with there feet 3 feet apart.  He was a moron with chicken legs trying to boost his ego.   I do feel bad for him, no doubt it hurt.  But he really had no business with that kind of weight.

It's okay to have an opinion but it's ignorant to say "who squats that wide" when it's common practice in PL, especially geared lifters. I bet the dude was no newbie and wasn't selecting a weight too heavy for him. You really don't think the guy is a "serious" lifter?
