I'm not exactly a geezer, I'm 37. I used to drive like an idiot when I was young, still speed sometimes, but street racing is not for me. Hell, my Corvette does not run at the  moment anyway. You could smoke me with your Reeboks.

I could see stepping on it to about 10 or 15 over the speed limit, but that's where I'd get off the gas. I don't want to risk a ticket or getting someone killed.

  I hate Corvettes. I am not a Mustang fan either but vettes are just plain ugly in my opinion. The ones that crack me up are the guys who get a 70 something corvette and think that they have a hot car just cause it is a corvette.Most still just had a 350 with smog heads and low compression.

Even worse is that those 70's vettes are probly the best they ever looked.  Most of the other gens are dog ugly.

Outstanding pics there Mindspin, looking great. I still question if there isn't a bit of synthetic testosterone running through your veins every once and a while. It really doesn't matter though, cause you are right where you should be.

As for cars, I've always loved Mustangs and been a Ford fan for years. I like old-school Chevy but think almost all of their recent line up is far from exciting. Yeah, the z06 is an excellent example of great American engineering, and is an exception to my above statement, but I wouldn’t be caught dead in a modern vette. They just scream Viagra and mid-life crisis.

  I don't know anything about the car...but nothing that makes decent power will hook up worth a shit  on hard ass radial tires.(not refering to the drag radials)It is no wonder it spun....Is it a 4 speed car? Looks to be a cool car but it would look much better if you lose the jelly bean mags,in my opinion.

It's a 1970 AAR Plymouth Barracuda. Limited too there were only 500 of them made in 1970. Very rare beast.
Of course weve got softer tires but those are just for the daily drive in the summer.

   It has been years since I was involved in any street racing.Back before they had the drag radials,but when I was younger and street racing a little bit...you could not beat the M&H Racemasters for a good hook'n street tire.That was always what I ran..and in fact they are still on my Chevelle. They are bias ply,so the ride is a little rough until they are warm...especially with radial tires on the front. You DO NOT want to be caught in the rain with them. They were basically a slick with 4 narrow grooves cut into them that was considered "tread" to make them dot legal.They were very soft and had a soft sidewall.They Hook very well,and used to be only about 150 bucks each for a 275 60 15

i didnt end up getting that 5.0   instead i got a 97 4.6... but it will blow the older 5.0 out of the water.   its dark purple with a high gloss finish and 18 inch chrome rims on low pro tires and has twin flows with chrome tips, leather interior, panasonic dvd deck,, gots a remote start/windows/alarm/doors...       had 95 g's on it, and i got it out the door for 7.   it also has the updated cast intake manifold, so i dont have to worry about how the old ones use to break because they were plastic..what do you guys think?

and whoever said vettes were ugly is blind.   corvettes are fucking bomb!!
