I work as a personal trainer in a swedish gym chain.
They doping test people quite often.
At least 6-10 whole days this year.
Even one staff member got caught after testing positive in a test.
When the drugtesters are in the gym, quite many members that are coming in
to the gym simply turn around and run out.
I will not do it, but if I want, I can order a drugtest team to come a certain weekday
and start testing all suspicious looking people.
I do agree about alcohol beeing a far worse drug and mild use of AAS
could be beneficial for many people.
However the guy with no legs, weak as a kitten(20lbs curls) with big upper body
and eyeballing people with a crazy stare, developing gyno....
One of our newer gym in the suburbs have the iranian gang, a bunch of 18-20y olds small 150lbs kids but starting to look bloated
and bad acne broke out on some of them.
They cause some trouble refusing to leave after closing time, threatening other gym members with knives
on the parking lot.
Imho they should get rid of them in one way or another.
I focus more on the members that stalk or harass the female gym members in my gym.
Its mostly 45-60y old men that are the perverts.
I cant revoke their membership but I can scare them and force them to behave
Then we have thieves, mentally ill ppl, anorectics... crazy gym board members that say
whey protein and creatine should be illegal and suggest we(all the PT staff) report all members and trainers that drink
proteinshakes.....!!!!!!!?

Very frustrating to have to listen to crap like that.
In most cases, AAS abusers are not a problem at all.
I am pro AAS but I do hate seeing those members that dont know how to train,
using featherweights and shoot AAS in their butts.
At staff events and parties sometimes co workers ask me if I am a user.
I suspect that sooner or later a test team will be there waiting for me as well.
