this is very typical of ironage comparisons. Hell, in the double bi comparison that they use for all the olympians, the modern champs dorian and ronnie are both in OFF SEASON shape!

It's true that the Iron Age comparisons aren't that good. A few years ago even the shots they had of 70s BB weren't the best. I added better shots of 70s BB to their site years ago but they were remarkably uninterested or able to appreciate the difference, probably because they hadn't thought of it.

This is in addition to few if any flattering shots of recent BBs, which means those comparison shots aren't good representations at all.

Something that has to be taken into consideration is that in the 70's bodybuilders, like Arnold, did not have develop a complete physique.  Arnold did not have to have well-developed shoulders to stand against the likes of Markus Ruhl, so his arms and chest looked bigger for it. 

Additionally, not having to devoted the time and effort in training legs (especially hamstrings), left more time to train other muscles groups and more time to recover over all.

Look at the post above. Proof posotive. Post a shot of Arnold at 60 after heart surgery against one of his best shots. Then find the worst picture you can find of doz and post those.
