I'm frequently featured in great magazines like MD and MuscleMag.  And I cheat on my diet quite often.  Just this evening I stopped at Wendy's and ordered a 1/2pound Bacon/Cheddar melt.  While I did remove the bacon (I am leaning up), the fact that I can eat fast food very often and still get the kinda mag coverage that I do... well... I can understand where lee and flex were coming from.

Damn it feels good to be a gangster.

You doing the Ironman this year, you got screwed last year./

mentzer probably ate a lot of weird stuff on venice beach, maybe caught his own fish and did fish n chips, stuff like that, maybe ate hotdogs at the beach from some foreigner

i bet he did
i bet he did it ALL the time

did anyone figure out if you can eat intensively like high intense eating HIE

just a thought

there's a thread on mayhem about a guy named joe meeko.  Joe was a mr. universe from nabba or wabba...I dont' remember which but anyway he was saying when he stayed with metzer in the early 80's that Mike would get pissed at him cause he could eat so much good food and still be in shape.  He said Mike used to eat 1 piece of toast and 1 boiled egg for breakfast.

not what I would call HIE
nasser=piece of shit

A strict, ultra-clean bb diet isn't necessary with amount of drugs they take.

Mentzer's philosophy was "a calorie, is a calorie, is a calorie"
Meaning 300 calories from a doughnut is the same as 300 calories from a chicken chicken salad ???
I loved his training philosophy's but his dieting ideas were WAY OFF!

Im using it right now.
Its not nearly as bad as I thought, I run 400mg a day and am losing about 5-7lbs a week, with a semi clean diet.
It just makes you tired and run down feeling, nothing horrible.
Of course I use a shitload of anit-oxidants, and eat lots of fruit.

I thought that Fred Harfield said that.  I have an old copy of MM2K where Duchaine talks about meeting with Hatfield when he was getting ready for a big meet and he was eating a Snickers bar.  Dan asked him about his writings on nutrition and his supplement line.  Hatfield's response..."A calorie is a calorie!"

Probably just coincidence, though.

Mentzer was against overeating and undereating. 500 calories above maintenance for us BBs, which was a part of a balanced diet 60% carbs/25% protein/15% fats.

Very simple.
