Everyone is aware of skin cancer. The tourists seem oblivious. Many here sit in little tents on the beach or under umbrellas. We use lotion on our faces and tender areas and many of us wear surf shirts as well. I have had a skin cancer burned off. Also, as people age they lose proteins in their skin that protect them from the sun. The sun tends to be very bright in Australia. About 20 years ago there was a revolution and a lot of the women went topless on the beaches. Nowadays the locals cover up because of worries about skin cancer. Kids have coverings and hats when they go out in the sun.

I don't particularly fancy slender women. I prefer pears and shapely women. Here is a shot for the guys who like bigger women.

Great thread...and then Getbig's soul brother #1 chimes in with his usual (drunk?) non(sensical)-sequitur. Ah well, I guess 2007 will look a lot like 2006 around here.

Melvin "Vince" Goodrum is always good for a laugh. When there aren't threads bagging that stooge this place is the poorer for it. Here is a classic pose from last year that Venom Vince showed us at the Mountaineer.

that pose i name "the diarrhea march"

Thanks for the softcore porn, Vince.

Seriously, great pics. I live in Sydney (5 minutes from Manly) and only go to the beach when on holiday in another state. Definitely not a natural beach goer, though I don't mind it.

dont let vince fool you..sydney is EXPENSIVE...even the OS tourists say that....the beaches are little coves spread apart and crowded as heck and the water in the past has been unswimmable due to the efluent in it. sydney has major problems with ethnic gangs and is the gay capital of australia. car parking in the city will cost you $50-$75/hour.

now Australia has 2 spots that are a must see...perth and adelaide. pristine waters, literally 100s of km of unbroken white sand with the occassional person on them,...affordable and large enough to have everything...

I fail to see what's a  must see in Adelaide. Since they lost the grand prix to Albert Park, there's nothing significant attracting overseas visitors. Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful city and very close knit and family orientated, half my family live there.

After backpacking around most of Oz, my picks for must see places and beaches are;

Mission beach
Airlie beach for backpacker mayhem
Cable Beach in Broome
Kakadu
Margaret river just south of Perth
Kings canyon and..
Billy's Beach house on the Gold Coast

I live in Adelaide, its a great place if you want to retire. We dont have bad traffic and its still very laid back here. As for overseas tourists about the only attraction we have left is our wine tours and some art festivals that nobody here really cares about.

My sister used to live at tugun lisa.

Isn't a town but a suburb of the gold coast down the south end. Is a nice place if you live on the beach side of the highway but if you live on the western side of the highway you are right next to the airport.

Much nicer up the road at currumbin (thats where my sister lives now).

Vince is right about the summer in sydney... it really is a fvck-fest with the foreign tourists.

I think some of their families would be horrified if they knew what they get up to with other tourists and aussie guys when they come over here - nobody to tell on them I guess helps to spread their legs pretty quick.

I can generally tell pretty much where a tourist is from as soon as they start talking to me now I've met so many...

I like the little irish girls the best personally... but i'm into shrimps that like to drink beer!

Hans used to own a little gym there in the late 70's early 80's. I was rereading his bio and forgot about all he did there...very interesting.

There was a little gym for sale years ago at Palm Beach on the Gold Coast. I had a look but it wasn't my idea of a good gym. Poor location there as the population is spread out up and down the coast. Bad place for the gym business.

Back to the babes! Tamarama Beach while the Sculpture by the Sea exhibit was on in November. The gals would go to the beach and some topless when there were thousands of people going past and many shooting photos. All is fair in photography as they say if you are out in a public place.

Bondi is the best. It is a hassle finding parking near any of these beaches in the summer.

Lifeguards cover up when on duty. Those good old days of bronzed guards have gone. Too many worry about skin cancers. I think you can buy this outfit. Good for a pose back in LA!

After the beach you can mix with the Europeans at the Bondi Hotel. I have been in Sydney for 36 years but have had a beer there only once.

Where most of the 1980 Olympia contestants stayed. They didn't believe me when I told them Arnold was enterring. He and Zane stayed downtown at the Hilton, I think. That place is being done up for apartments, perhaps.

A lot of people walk or run along the boardwalk at Bondi. I think someone called me a perve for shooting this photo of the girl running with her dog. The things I do to get photos for this place.
