Moderation of Junk Food
« on: December 31, 2006, 03:46:06 AM »
Ok , ive got my training , cardio , nutrition and goals all sussed

BUT

My ONLY (relevant) problem is when it occurs be it say xmas day , out with mates , etc etc IS moderating junk food

Im like a rabid dog of just say one spoon of ice cream , ill just eat the whole damn tub if i can with cream and choc sauce! and if u dont finish your plate ill thief it  ;D

does anyone else have this problem of total lack of control round junk when socialising etc

If i lived bymyself and had no friends id be ripped 24/7  >:(

Any tips much appreciated on 'tapering' this pathetic mishap  :-[

Put something that tastes nasty on the half of the food you don't want to let yourself eat.  A buddy of mine would always carry tartar sauce with him since he hated the taste of it and just put some of it one part of his food when he ate down at a restaurant.  Looks kinda funny but worked for him....

well you say that your diet and everything else is on point the rest of the time... as long as you arent a few weeks out from a show just go ahead and eat the ice cream or whatever junk food you want....having a cheat meal once in a while isnt going to hurt you.

The problem is how do you define "junk food."  I noticed the article below- the Brits are now defining cheese as junk food for purposes of restricting commercials on children's television.  Also banned are the following:

"Marmite, Flora Lite, half-fat cheddar, Dairylea triangles, bran flakes, camembert, sugar-coated puffed wheat, instant hot oat cereal, Jaffa cakes, reduced calorie mayonnaise, multi-grain hoop cereal, half-fat creme fraiche, takeaway chicken nuggets, potato waffles, Greek yoghurt (from sheep's milk), ham, sausages, bacon rashers, low-fat spreads, peanuts, cashew nuts, pistachio-nuts, peanut butter, raisins, sultanas, currants, low-fat potato crisps, olive oil, butter, pizza, hamburgers, tomato ketchup, chocolate, brown sauce, cola and lemonade."

When i say junk i mean 'typical junk food' , eg Ice cream , bakery treats , pizza , fried shit , all the yummy stuff at fast food joints , chocolates and sweets
