Would you choose a Bobby Lee who makes you laugh... or someone with a hot bod?

How important is a hot bod on a man? Technically, like many women, I should be with someone like Bobby Lee, because he's hilarious and adorable.  However, I know I just couldn't make it past the physical thing...

 .  Is that incredibly shallow? On the other hand, isn't it true though, that even people who are so into bodies will end up accepting new physical flaws like potso bellies and/or 50 extra pounds, after they've fallen in love with him and spent time with him?

I meant it more in terms of, if being in shape is important to you, would you be willing to overlook it in another person if they were perfect for you in every other way, i.e. funny or really intelligent, just don't really care about their bodies all that much? I think in the beginning it might be impossible... but if they were in shape, then suddenly put on the pounds after the relationship was solid, you'd still care for them.

Some people though, don't seem to care about bodies at all. Maybe these people are less shallow, or just more practical.

Cause mine burns calories!

"Burn" means to be able to cook really well. I'm not talking about boiling eggs, but someone who can throw down, like Moms, or match/surpass my skills in the kitchen.

Not so rare at all Parker, ...I burn in the kitchen all the time. Infact, my smoke detector is my meal timer.

I think the ability to overlook it only comes into play AFTER you're in love. My longest relationship lasted 7 yrs.
He had a smokin' hot bod when we first started seeing each other. 7 yrs later, ...he'd gotten fat. I never noticed. Actually I did notice, ...but it didn't bother me. He was still him. I think the trick is to fall for them before they gain the weight. 

Ideally, he'd have a smokin' hot bod, ...and can make me laugh.

Looks are important to me, but I would take the guy with the awesome personality over the Hot Body You can lose your looks then what are you left with? As my grandma used to tell me: Beauty is only skin deep, but ugly goes all the way to the bone...So yeah I'd take the guy who is my soul mate regardless of looks.

I've heard that one too.  I guess part of it is if you are really physical and like being in great shape, and you meet someone who doesn't care about their body that much, chances are you won't have all that much in common outside of the meeting of the minds. Sounds like it's enough... but not sure.

I answered this question from a point of experience. I had always been the girl that dated the guy that everyone was after. Now with some life experience and wisdom, I chose the guy with the incredible personality. He's not ugly by any means, but he is so much more intelligent, funny, and so many other things that the other guys were not.

the girl realises that she wants the guy with more intelligence....cause he is not the guy playing the social game to get in her pants..(cause human alpha males dont always overtly advertise..its crass yanno,,and a means to track down an alpha female..a regular female will go for the herd.)..however..the guy is not willing to settle for seconds and for a girl  that went around and made every mistake before she wanted him..

You know, I believe my guy is an alpha male, he just doesn't realize it. I know I'm an alpha female for sure. You can't be a National level competitive bodybuilder and be a shrinking violet...

If you're an ugly woman by general standards - body means nothing. Those with nothing won't aim high, especially if you're older. You take what you can get.

Still, there has to be something really physical about him since he's willing to take his clothes off all the time.
