You're completely missing the point; the one I made, at least.  In your original post that I replied to, you implied that there was just no way some of these judges who have "solid backgrounds" in powerlifting, strongman, competing, and personal training could be gay.  That's a ridiculous assumption.  Who are you to say whether someone is/isn't gay just because they participated in any one or more of those?

The evidence is in jimmys posts, serge nubrets posts, many many ironagers and people around the industry who post on various websites the type of things that went on, jeez dont you think its a little odd that a man started an empire based around oiled up men in thongs in the 1940's, it seems obvious (to me anyway) that no one would do something like that especially in that era unless they were seriously intoi these oiled up men.

Actually the original claim was that homosexuals were only into bodybuilding. But the truth is, the very same people that are suppose to be involved in arranging bodybuilding contests because they're gay, spent as much time, or more arranging all kinds of other sports (powerlifting, strongmen) etc. so they obviously have an interest in other things than "oiled up men in thongs"

How does this affect any one of you? Do you REALLY care about any of this?

I've never given a second thought to it as it has NOTHING to do with me, the sport itself, or any of the other aspects of my everyday life.

I've been given many offers over the years from gay guys...offers to pose, take pics, show up at a party, sponsor me, etc....a simple "thanks, but no thanks...not my thing"...always seemed to do the trick.

Why this is of interest to any of you is beyond me....

i've seen zero evidence that favours for placings exists. the whole judging system is from what i understand constructed so one or more, rotten apples as judges cannot change the placing order.

as for gay for pay, i dont know what this is and why that would mean anything. you seem to know a lot more about this than i do, please explain
