Well said onlyme. I was typing this when I read your post.
It seems to me that money doesn't equate to happiness. I know I'm no happier now than I was when I made a quarter of the money I do now. Sure, I have nicer stuff, but not necessarily any happier. I was just as happy then, with my cheaper stuff, than I am now with more expensive stuff, maybe even happier.
Think of spoiled little rich kids (or adults, IE - Hollywood). They aren't happy, they are always stressing out about some silly bullshit. Then you go down the street to a "regular" neighborhood and see a bunch of folks out back having a BBQ and drinking beers and they are happy as hell. A big misconception in this country that money = happiness. People chase it their whole lives and never find it, even if they become successful, they can still be unhappy. You can be poor and still enjoy life more than a millionaire. The key is finding happiness first, and then let the money make things more comfortable.
