Pitbulls can be animal aggressive but for the 500th time, pitbulls where bred to be very loyal and to tolerate humans well. Pit fighters DID NOT WANT TO BE MAULED AND ATTACKED WHILE BREAKING A PIT FIGHT. PITBULLS TEMPER SCORE HIGHER THEN 90 PERCENT OF ALL BREEDS.LOOK IT UP. The most dangerous dog? any type of unsocialized, abused, neglected or untrained dog big enough to break skin. Btw, a 200 lb St Bernard would be far more dangerous then a pit and a rot if it was aggressive. No one says anything about them tho. Since they are cute A full grown St Bernard can kill a full grown man. Pit attacks usually involve children left alone with the animal. Most fatal dog attacks of all breeds on are kids or old people. I can post various stories of children being mauled by other breeds of dogs. They never make news coverage because a pitbull attack is much more sensational.

Naw, most of the Giant breeds were breed as War Dogs or gaurd dogs (read  human aggressive). Or sheep dogs. There really is no reason for dogs to be that big. That is why Great Danes have a average lifespan of about 6 years. Greg Louganis breeds them.  Wolves (Artic) barely weigh over 145, because their weight is proportiate to the size of their prey. Larger prey= larger wolves.
Giant breeds have no prey, as they were breed by humans, therefore an unnatural process, which has un-natural consequences.

It's just that sometimes people want to "out-butch"' another breed.

Point blank, nothing is better in close corner dog fight than a pit---it was bred explicity for that purpose...Outside of that, the above breed probably would have mouthful of Pit.
