yea if were talking strong compared to general public then a 300 bench makes you a god. Compared to a bunch of bodybuilders its not so great.

HAHAH

so you are suggesting that Ronnie Coleman is weak?!

Ronnie can actually bench 600 and squat 900. the 2x bodyweight bench is a great example of strenght!

like i said earlier, it seems like all the time i've been on getbig that i've read about at least 40 guys who could bench 405 yet in any gym i've ever been to i've seen literally 8 guys in 14 years of training do a legit 405 bench.

Ronnie can't do either of those things by his own admission.

You know in all the years I trained I really haven't seen to many guys bench over 400 , its rare you see some bench over 405 ! I did see a powerlifter bench 585 for a single , the whole gym stopped and watched .

i've only seen three guys in 14 years bench 5 plates on each side, one guy did a single, one Samoan dude did 4 reps with it and one guy did a very hard single.

There is a 'legend' here who posts under the handle 'Mr Intenseone' who claims a 563 lbs bench @ 181 lbs bodyweight, although I think he's dyslexic and actually wrote that instead of the truth, which is that he benched 181 lbs @ 560 lb bodyweight hahahahaha.

I have been lifting now for about 10 years and in the last 6months alone I have seen at least 10 people bench 405.  Personally I have not lifted 405 but I work out with two guys who can.  I have just reached the 365 feat!  It all depends on what type of gym you work out in.

If by 'training partners' you mean spend about 90 % time in the showers soaping each other 'thoroughly' and the other 10 % of their time in the gym towelling each other dry, then yeah, I too think they must be 'training partners'
