Connection Problems
Sorry, SMF was unable to connect to the database. This may be caused by the server being busy. Please try again later.

i thought this would be fixed with sponsors etc? this happens every day now

delete the boards that take up too much space and/or the users!

Same here but I didn't reboot, then when it happened multiple times again at work I knew it was the site not the computer. WTF though I have seen that connection problems page at least 2 dozen times today and it just happened when I tried to reply to this.

Yeah, it started happening around September of last year. I remember the night of the Olympia Finals it was like that for hours.

I remember that, I didn't even bother trying to go back on for like a day or two cause getbig.com and flexonline.com were both over crowded and you couldn't do shit on the sites. I had 240 send me a link to the results like 3 times cause I thought the link was bad.

This usually happens when forum maintenance isn't being done on a regular basis, in my experience anyway. Also, there are probably thousands of inactive accounts that should be deleted.

I agree. Ron can you please look into(I'm sure you are already) and fix the problems. It took me 20 minutes to get on....might think I was trying to get on ticketmaster trying to get PDI tickets....oh wait aren't they free

Ok - after Lonnie mentioned Getbig on Court Television, and put my name out there, I got a lot of calls, but also a major spike in traffic, which slowed down the server, and eventually a database error. It should be fixed now. We are going to do some maintaince tonight or tomorrow night, and then upgrade to the latest version, which should be interesting.
