I'm not playing off anything.  Everyone could have better cardio.  I have seen the fights.  Hughes, GSP and just baout everyone else is shot after 3 rounds.  And the guys BJ fights look like shit at the end of the fight.  No name dropping here needed.  I have no point to prove. You guys are doing good by yourselves

So you're trying to say that BJ has amazing cardio and it does, in-fact, rival the top fighters in his weight class? hahahahahaha.

Come on BF, everyone with eyes can see BJ's weak link is his motivation/work ethics which leads to poor cardio.  Not taking Keith's side by any means, but you discount BJ's ability.  Cardio is weak, Yes!  Best fighter P4P when he wants to, Yes!

That is exactly what we were saying, great fighter, shitty cardio. I guess if you are friends with Keith you get a pass around here for being lazy ::)

Oh, I'm not discrediting him at all. I'm a big BJ fan and I think that if he had his head in the game the guy could go down right next to Fedor as one of the greatest to ever step into the ring/cage. But there's no denying his cardio is terrible at times. That's all I'm pointing out.

I still think he'll beat Hughes in a rematch, but I don't know about GSP. He looked invincible in the Hughes fight.

On the few times (2) that I did get to roll with him, I can tell you BJ's skills are out of this world.  His knee ride/north south/side control pressure is of a 205+ lber.  Very aggressive, and like most good black belts is 15-20 moves against you.  Shinya Aoki is like that as well, with less strength, and more guard based.  BJs top and bottom game is excellent, as are his hands.  I would never stand with him.  Power like crazy, good head movement, good footwork (cuts great angles).  Not to mention he can stand in the pocket because he has a great chin.

Alas, his work ethic/drive is what kills him.  Every now and then, he shows what he is capable of doing.  (Gomi fight)  I wish he were on Oahu more often, he is one of my favorite fighters because of his gifts.  The only thing I don't like is his drive.  Definitely one of the best (right up there with Fedor) when he wants to.  Hopefully 07 we will see a rejuvenated Penn.
