I find it funny how Valentino gives advice about bodybuilding, like he knows what he's talking about.

Yep.

Unreal, isn't it?

Funny thing is, he talks about how the "pros" columns and training advice is boring, yet he "writes" (if you can call it writing) for a Muscle Mag............ ::)

I read MD and Musclemag cover to cover every month.

Discuss.

I used to do that, for the comedic factor.

Athletes here, battles there, ebony muscle mountains everywhere.............. .......great laughs.

I didn't read that but if there are spelling errors it is not the writers fault.  It is the editors fault.  Thye have proof readers.

Holy shit, maybe we've been wrong knocking the bodybuilders who refer to themselves as athletes.

From Wiki:

An athlete is a person who has above average physical skills (strength, agility, and endurance) and is thus suitable for physical activities, in particular, contests. An ancient Greek word for "contest" was athlos, and those competing in the games were called athletes.

Most professional athletes have particularly well-developed physiques obtained by extensive physical training and strict exercise accompanied by a strict dietary regime.

In more specific settings, an athlete is one who participates in competitive events such as professional sports. In British English this is often limited to athletics.

The word can also, although less often, refer to a mental, instead of physical, competitor or possessor of skills.

Hahhahah, what a joke.  I'd love to see this guy do sets 1 after the other, non stop, high intensity, he would drop!!

What a discrace to BB.  Just when i thought BB couldn't get any worse publicity or affiliation, MD gave this moron a job.  Shameful.

A "HACKL" squat is a hack doing squats, usually with just the bar.:)

"Agility" and "Endurance" does not apply to bodybuilding............ ......send a bodybuilder to even a high school football combine and you might as well have him write out his will before hand!

Absolutely correct, intense one.  However, there are exceptions to the rule.  Levrone racing the olympian just a month after the olympia with no legitimate preperation, a guy I trained along side, Eugene Pinkney(ifbb judge and NPC comp) runs the long island marathon most years and I myself jump rope and perform drills better than most my weight.  For the most part though it is true.

240, I'm not sure how many meters the race was, but from what i can remember Levrone was doing pretty good until the last meters of the race when the olympian pulled away.  He wasn't that far ahead, but a few tenths of a sec make the difference in running.
It was impressive, non the less, especially because it was so soon after the olympia and Levrone was probably 60 pounds heavier.
I think Milos would know how to get the video.
The guy was a Bronze medalist, I believe.

I am not sure if he is a great bodybuilder or a great speller, but he is certainly a great marketing expert.

Actually Intense one, I would say that it showed that with proper training and a year of prep he would do exceptionally well at the collegiate level and may even do better.  Also, remember that the olympian probably trained most of his life.  If anyone can't give Levrone credit than I think that says they are jealous and could never come close to what he did.  Even the olympian gave him praise.

I agree...he would have to do a total re-direct of training protocol....but it is possible, good example is Flex Wheeler and Chris Cook (Although Flex was sort of a forced retirement) but Chris changed his training to gear it for fighting!
