This is not the majority my friend and Orange County as a whole isn't a paradise.  The county has some shitty ass cities.  I think all women are greedy, vain, and materialistic; anywhere you go.

yes I am, but your wrong about Laguna Beach. Laguna used to be a gay mecca. It was one of the most beautiful places on earth, filled with artists and characters of every stripe, straight artists and intellectuals too. IT was beautiful affordable and everyone had access to the amazing landscape and beaches, everyone was welcome and all sorts of point of views and attitudes abounded, even muscle men used to hang out on the beaches and sidewalks of the town. But that was way back in the 70's. Once the gays made it popular the  new rich straights wanted in and pushed the gays out with money and brought in their horrible taste and values. The gays are gone and the city has gone to shit. It is over developed overpriced and there isn't any land left. Every inch of land is built on. Filthy rich  people and their spoiled brood fight over their property lines and kill their neighbors trees in order to maximize the ocean views from their mini mansions. Their are no more artists, because they can't afford to live there. The only aritsts there are rich idle houswives that take up painting or ceramics and sell it in shops their husbands pay for. Its really a shame what happened Laguna Beach.

It is a shame that people under 30 will never know what a great coastal town in southern california used to be like. Even Venice is not the same.  Those days are long gone. The California govenrment was paid off by greedy land developers and the rich that moved in could care less about the enviornment or having any sense of taste.

BTW ORange county was called orange county because it was filled with orange groves. The smell of oranges could be smelt everywhere, now there is not one orange grove left, just miles and miles of cars, highways, shopping malls and mini mansions. Be careful what you wish for you might just get it.

NYCB is correct IMO. Laguna is a far cry from what is was, even as recently as the late 80's & early 90's.

I make this observation not as it applies only to the gay community, but to the cool vibe as a whole, that Laguna Beach once had. Perhaps if I had millions I'd think differently, but I doubt it.

doubt it dude, two million would only buy you a small ranch on the east side of Pacific Coast Highway. YOU might get a view of the ocean if your lucky. The restaurants are overpriced and the food is mediocre. The people are only friendly unless you dress and look like them and it is only superficial. They will steal you house under you in a second.

My partner still has a house there and his neighbors have already killed several of his palms because they were in the way of their ocean view. These were Mormons by the way. He has also had neighbors complain to the town of his dogs barking, he has only had them a few months, he inherited them when his brother died and these people knew that.

One of the neighbors was illegally filling in a canyon so he could expand his mini mansion. WHen the rain came the mud all slid into the house below him. My partner was the only one that helped the lady out of her house and tried to save it. A few weeks later the guy was filling the soil back in. Turns out he paid off town hall. My partner had to storm town hall with video tape of the illegal filling. Needless to say he is hated in the neighborhood. Funny thing is all these people think their holier than thou and smile and say things like "cant we be friends".
