The Beach Boys went to my high school.  They made it famous.  They used to play in their garage for all the little kids back when I was in Little League.  In our music room (used to be their when I went) their is a Gold Record in a frame with the original hand written lyrics to Surfin USA (I think) with a big red "F" on it.  They had a class assignment to write a love ballad or something like that and they wrote this song.  The teacher thought it was a joke and gave them (I think it was Brian Wilson) an "F".  A couple years or so later it became a hit and got a Gold Record.  So someone did that.  I don't remember the exact story but it was something like that.

No don't think so, I never heard anything.  Those guys are all much older than me. My high school website is probably the most visited and awesome high school website in the world.  Whenever anything has to do with the Beach Boys is announced or comes up the site gets unreal visits from outside parties like magazines and TV shows.  

Another musical connection that went to my school is Olivia Arias (?) who graduated just before me.  She lived right across the street from our baseball field.  You coudl see all kinds of gold records in her house.  She married George Harrison.  And was still married to him up to his death.  All kinds of rag magaiznes would offer people on our wesbite money for stories on Olivia.  

Allot of the people who go to the website are graduates from the 60's and all went to school with the Beach boys and were best friends with them.  They post pics of Brian and the others never seen before and tell great stories.  Old girlfriends and even girls some of the songs were written about are on there.  Brian and Al Jardine come on once in awhile.  I think Al actually went to another school.  The Beach Boys didn't even surf except for Dennis.

no way the Beatles were much better so was Zepplin beach boys were good but nothing more than a glorified boy band. You could say the same for the Beatles but I like them better

I dont care for the early surfin shit but man I love Pet Sounds.  It was once said that Paul McCartney was really distraut when he heard that album because he felt he could never out do Brian Wilsons master piece

i went to a charity event last november and the beach boys (or whats left of them) played ... the lead singer dood liked the girl i was with and kept starring at her, despite the fact he was like 70 im pretty sure she woulda left with him ;D

they did this freestyle rap shit on stage mocking eminem that was fucking hilarious too
