Exactly. The NFL is the most profitable sports organization in the world and football is now America's pasttime, especially with the steroid scandals in baseball.

football is more popular because americans like violence, games are only once a week, and football with the salary cap is actually fair unlike baseball where there are teams that have no chance to ever be competitive on a yearly basis

notice how only the large market rich teams had a shot at that japanese pitcher that the sox got?

just imagine football where only a few teams could afford to sign brady quinn or whatever top prospect in the next draft ::)

football is actually fair

Football's been out in front for years across the country. The biggest factor is action-football has it, baseball doesn't and is SLOW...steroids were not the cause, since they were a factor in both sports. NY because of it's history and the origins of baseball here remains fanatical about baseball, biased towards it. Some other cities with histories, like Boston, Chicago, etc. are also big on baseball, but i don't know if the interest there is higher than football.

Nope, The Red Sox are about even with the pats here in NE. People are obsessed with both. But, people are phychotic about sports in NE and NY so I am sure it is an exception.

Bottom line: football's way out in front no matter how you cut it. Baseball's media coverage is mainly regional, not national like football.

Hardly. Football only started catching on big-time in the 1960s, then got huge in the 70s onwards. Then passed baseball not that long ago, maybe 2 decades or less.

Funny, no one gave two shits about the Pats until you started winning Super Bowls. Now everyone and their grandmother are die hard fans that have been following the team since birth. Don't even deny that shit, either.

Kinda like Angels and their "fans".  I'm a Dodger fan so I could give two shits either way but all of a sudden after the World Series, everyone was an Angels fan their whole life.  Same thing with South Jersey folk who root for the Eagles and the Yankees because they are winners.

In their defense, those races are ridiculously taxing on the drivers. They can lose up to 10-15 pounds per race because it gets up to like 120 degrees plus in those cars.

I'm not questioning their endurance or their work ethic. It's just that I have a hard time believing that driving a car makes you an athelete and so do a lot of other people.

Now you know how I feel about bodybuilders...........b ut it takes alot of training (if they're doing it the right way) to handle a car for 500 laps at 190mph with no power steering and temps to a 150 degrees in the car, saying that............yes, their athletes!

No contest.

Football is the most popular sport in the world.

The biggest clubs in football, Man United, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Milan and a few others, are also the biggest clubs in sports period.

It's bound to show here on Getbig as well.

It's too action packed to not have commerical breaks. People would be keeling over from all the excitement.
