I talked to Wayne day before yesterday for about 30 minutes. The website is almost done. It should be up this month. He told me who has been in contact with him and who has committed. And EVERYONE will be surprised I promise 100%. He is has a show secured in the Caribean in either Trinidad or one otherplace I can't remember. He is also working on one other show in Europe. He has a few people wanting to do shows in the US but nothing definite. He has he game plan and so far everything is going perfectly. He is NOT trying to compete with the IFBB. He could care less. The proof of that is the fact he is not working on the US as much right now. The PDI is truly going to be global. In addition, allot of the competitors trips are paid for along with hotel. Some major sponsors are talking.

Sounds good...but it all comes down to sponsors and Butts in the seats (paying ones)...without those two factors, it's dead in the water.

But how can there be certainty in what you're saying? I'm not doubting its possibility, but like any business venture it takes on risk. To say he's not trying to compete with the IFBB is garbage, the commodity here is competitors, and the PDI is trying to take the IFBB's commodities.

I'm sorry, but a Bodybuilding contest is subjective and the placings are the combined opinions of the judges. Therefore, to argue something subjective AND something that you cannot change is incorrect is nothing more than complaining. Truth cannot be involved when you opine that you should have placed higher, as there mere premise of someones opinion being true or false is invalid.

Wayne has been smart, because he found out that the world is bigger than the US.
There are some amazing athletes competing in other federations or independent organizations. Wayne did not only get athletes from the IFBB, but also from the Musclemania, the big NABBA, the small NABBA (NAC), the WABBA, the WFF and some smaller ones. I know that Lee Priest and Rodney St. Cloud got plenty of guest posings overseas after they signed with the PDI.
The IFBB will still remain the largest federation in the US, but a little bit of variety should benefit the bodybuilding world.

Good post, there's a lot of BB's out there that probably feel they wouldn't get a shot in with the judges at the IFBB simply because of their nationality. But the IFBB's had a long time in this industry to search out where the best business is, so it'll be interesting to see what the PDI makes of this 'opportunity'.

ok so what about this, Im judging diving. My best friend is in it and my worst enemy as well. My rool book says i have to award the best diver 1st place. My enemy dives and its perfect, my friend dives and its off, but i give it to my friend because i like him better. now im not sticking to my rules, im just being subjective. Im not saying Lee is an enemy to IFBB but it isn't the 1st time hes stirred up "trouble" or been suspended....perhaps the IFBB holds a bad opinion of him and therefore places him where ever? I bet if IFBB judges judged the NOC, Lee would have come 2nd or lower.

You're relying on an assumption that we cannot presume to know in this instance. How can you say any one judge deliberately placed Lee lower than he 'deserved' due to bias? Was his bias towards Lee fair withing the constraints of a bodybuilding contest? Can anyones opinion of another be false? In the example you give, we can say that the contest may as well not have happened, as you have already decided the superior diver - whilst I agree that is a possibility here (however remote that may be), there can be no proof, and your argument that he is not complaining falls flat.

lee priest IS THE "first tier",,VERY VERY VERY FEW BODYBUILDERS,, YOU CAN COUNT THEM ON YOUR FINGERS AND TOES,,,ARE BETTER THAN LEE PRIEST AT HIS BEST,, he BELONGS IN THE TOP OF THE TOP and if he is not a first tier,,then kevin isnt and vic isnt and dex isnt and no one is but you bobbie

yes your right, i agree....im not trying to choke you up. haha. I was just saying that having in opinion on someone could change the way one would judge someone. You hear stories of some competitors taking judges out for dinner the night before etc. There have already been so many controversial things in bbing take Franco or Arnold winning their last Mr. O titles or Dorian winning his last title or shows with different judges placing the competitors totally different than the Mr. olympia which was just a few days prior.

I don't know everything there is to know about pro bbing and competitions, I wouldn't argue over anybody especially a pro, that includes Bob. My opinion is that its nice to have a fresh set of competitors, judges, rules and routines. Having costumes and NEW WINNERS

something the IFBB hasn't given the fans (who make it what it is) in along time if ever. The PDI is just starting but when it grows, it will turn into a good thing.

EXACTLY! so why has Lee never got the place he deserved?? im not saying hes come in PERFECT every show, but hes come in and placed way lower than he should have, if that happended to Ronnie or ~~Jaw~~ Jay, you'd hear some complaining.

So you're saying rotating the winner in each BB contest is more important than giving the most worthy competitor 1st place?

No you are wrong. He is not trying to take anyone. First off they contact him. He doesn't contact them. Second he is allowing them to compete in the IFBB. He can care less. It is the IFBB that won't let their members compete anywhere else. So he is NOT trying to take anything from the IFBB. If he wanted to take on the IFBB he would concentrate more in the US. He is working Europe first. The IFBB has no shows in Europe this year as far as I know. Once he has Europe secured Asia, South America and the US are next. He has a plan and so far it is going perfectly. And believe me more pros like Wayne than dislike him. It is evident from the inquiries he is getting.

So let's assume Lee can compete in both the IFBB and PDI and they have a show on the same day in the same place. Are they not then both competing for Lee's services? You keep telling us the PDI is such a huge threat to the IFBB, is it or not? Or are you just not convinced?

no im saying judge to your own critera and follow your own rules and the winner will change on its own. obviously If they keep giving 1st place to the guy that looks like a tomato, when in fact your supposed to look like a carrot, everyone will try to look like a tomato. It ruins what its supposed to be.

Wow you are a hard one. How old are you. First off there wouldn't be a show on the same day and in the same place. Do you know anything about BB. Cause it really sounds like you have no idea what you are talkikng about. Is your last name Goodrum. The PDI is a threat to the IFBB if they don't get their shit together. Right now the PDI is concentrating on the foriegn market and looking at the BB in foreign countries who are overlooked by the IFBB like Frey and Sami and many others. Please do not post unless you know something about this. It's like answering questions from a 12 year old.
