man I remember back in 1994 when craig graced the cover of all the magazines. I think he has more covers than anyone but arnold. I remember going in the gym and there was a round table by the front desk with nothing but a ton of musclemags thrown on it. Flex, mUsclemag, iron man, muscle media, and craig was in all them, that was back when he had first moved to venice. I did not live there then though. I remember looking at all his photos, they really inspired you as a lifter and as a man, because you wanted to look like or as close to craig titus as you could, if you couldnt look like him in the face, you could try to look like he does in the body. The owner of that golds gym use to work out with Platz and Jim quinn and those guys. He owns the gym in arkansas where youngblood trained. It was a cool time in bodybuilding, when it was still about bodybuilding and not who could be the freakiest huge blowfish. The physiques form those times still had lines, right before the new level shown by dorian. Welll at just about the time. I use to talk to this one guy who lived with arnold for 3 months, he always told me if you like sports, training and just being fit, there is nothing like golds gym venice and it something that one should do atleast once in their lifetime, but it has changed so much. He gave arnold a pair of shorts that is in many and most all of his famous photos. The Hardcore days ended back in 2000, and before. 1984 was the prime of golds venice. You had all the young and upcoming bodybuilders, and the older ones who were on their way out. Arnold was still huge just before terminator, Olympians trained there for the 1984 olympics, A guy I use to bounce with trained around arnold when he was in the olympics, but he crushed his leg trying to squat 1000. This dude is a freak from africa like 6'3 290, and swole. But craig was the epitome of both decades of the gym scene in venice. The leotard era, the late 80's and early 90's, to his peak at the San Francisco pro in 2001 where he took second to chris cormier, after they trained together for that show. I remember craig and chris posing in the mirror while I stood right behind them and would watch their whole in-gym poses, it was cool. Its such bad thing that took place. Everyone post your craig titus pics, theres some great ones out there, maybe his true fans who loved him as the bodybuilder can set aside their mindset of his case and trial. I got to know craig titus over the year on an aquaintnance level. I remember him talking to jay cutler in max muscle and hanging out when they still sold roids from behind the counter. Lets see the evolution of craig and remember him in this thread as the bodybuilder and the epitome of almost the perfect man, in regards to muscle, lookis, and appearance. He isnt the tallest but his attitude made up for it. Lets see some pics. Late
