Are you talking about the immediate pwo shake, or the pwo meal which genarlly is consumed within the hour following completion of the workout?

as soon as i finish my workout i mix my protien with the rest of the powerade or gatorade i've been sipping throughout my workout.  That holds me over to get home...cook up the postworkout meal which could be steak potatoe or chicken and potatoe. with asparagus for broccolli.

Yates and Tier have the right idea,  Real food after their workouts.
I usually eat 3 cans of tuna ( with some dressing ). I have to say Kroger's Generic brand of tuna in water is dam good.  It has the meaty texture of albacore, and the taste is more like salmon than tuna.  at 56 cents a can you can't go wrong.

My gym has a cafeteria which makes all kinds of natural smoothies. At extra $1.5 or so they add a scoop of whey protein and 5mg crea. I usually drink 500ml of berry smothie with this addition and an hour or so after have 6 egg white omlete, beans, and one can tuna. Excellent combo that worked for me 100%

I used to be religious about taking in protein powder, simple carbs, and creatine immediately after my workout. Now I just eat whatever I feel like, as long as it has a reasonable amount of protein and carbs, usually about 30 minutes after I get done working out.
