I wouldn't pay to see Ronnie compete in a bodybuilding contest but I'd pay big dollars to see him in the World's Strongest Man competition.

agreed?

i dont know and i have raised that question before...my guess would be that its not close to the top strongmen which would hurt him in some events.

but as i said in another thread ronnie has alot of pure strength but he cant win on that alone as there are other guys who are stronger + we dont know how he would do without seeing him compete first as you have to train tehnique also.

agreed on all counts. ronnie's a strong guy, but even compared to powerlifters he's pretty behind (johnnie jackson can outlift him in the PL events despite weighing 70 pounds less). mariusz and the others have benches over 600 and squat/deadlift near 900.

one thing that's going to be a real problem with ronnie is he has no lockout strength. aside from having a torn tricep, watch his videos. when he reps out on any pressing movement, it's bottom-half reps. it's not a knock on him, he does it that way for a reason, but the guy has a load of power off his chest but not nearly as much from halfway to lockout, which would really screw him up in the log press amongst other events.

i'd say he'd be similar to levrone sprinting. he wouldn't embarrass himself, he'd make a good showing, but he'd be a middle of the pack competitor.

absolutely.  he might be first or might be last.  and it'd be DOING something, not just standing around in a thong.  It'd be like a USO Tour of the "Redemption" DVD!
