Too many "knock off" brands in Hawaii. Some knucklehead made "Purebreed" clothing line a blatant knock off of Purebred (Enson Inoue's line). There is Tap Dis, Tap Dat, I'd Tap Dat, etc, etc. Everybody acts like a figther here, wears the clothing, gets tons of tats, etc, etc. You will never know who is good and who isn't. James Tanaka, is a black belt in BJJ under Rickson Gracie, took second in the Pan Ams in 2003, weighs a buck fourty and looks like an import driving asian teenager. He would tap most BJJ black belts, and has a killer stand up game, is great with weapons, and is a former Marine Recon advance scout. Give him a 1911, and he would make most SWAT trainers look silly. So you don't have to look and act the part. In fact, most people that do are prolly the posers.
