im from texas and do not have a texas accent but i have noticed that some of my friends who dont have southern accents in texas suddenly have them while their out of state

but staten island is high on my list,those assholes can not talk for shit and have no class

I went to high school with a girl who was born in Texas. Didn't have one lick of a accent, until someone during a school trip  to Tennesse asked where she was born. After that, she had a accent thicker than anyone on Hee-Haw. Fake as hell, but her she was blessed with some bigguns

You mean the fact they take so long to say something so simple. I remember watching "Chef", and the main character, Garreth, took a whole three minutes to chew someone out. When put someone down, it has to be quick and to the point, otherwise, it looses the "heat'

No, what is funny as all get out. There was this pregnant English lady (sexy as hell) in one of my college classes who isi married to a guy from the Deep South. Imagine the mis-mash. Especially since she is from the Caribbean, her island accent comes out when she is mad. But it is all the way straight Bristish accent.
