IMO PB&J is only good on white bread with a big glass of milk. However, now you can get whole grain white bread.

Forget natural Peanut Butter.  Buy your stuff in Bulk at Sams.  I used to eat about 10 sandwiches per day, and I made huge gains eating almost entirely PBJ.  Wheat bread is better. Don't forget the Vitamin D milk too : ) yumm.

Lately I've been buying Skippy Natural PB.
Unlike Smucker's this PB has the same taste, texture, etc. of regular PB.

In fact, I don't quite know what the difference is between it and regular.
I compared the label on Skippy Natural to a jar of Jif, and they're essentially identical (within 1g here and there).

Skippy's price isn't bad either. When on sale, I've gotten them for as low as $1/jar.

Check the ingredients. I think Skippy adds sugar and palm oil  ::)  IMO, natural peanut butter should be just ground up peanuts, peanut oil (for consistancy) and salt.  Personally, I don't like Smuckers brand.  Something off in the flavor  :-\  like the peanuts were burnt when they ground them or something.  I've found the local/generic brands to be pretty good.

BTW ~ peanut butter goes with just about anything  ;D apples, baby carrots, raisins, oatmeal, cottage cheese, banana, pretzels, chocolate, straight out of the jar...

Friends of mine purchased a peanut butter maker (I hang out with some real bad-asses).
It took a while to process, but it worked.
Maybe we shouldn't have used ROASTED peanuts???

Anyway.
We experimented and added, I think, honey and butter. We didn't try the peanut oil, though.
Of course this gave it a richer texture and taste, but diminished the healthy part.
I even liked it just plain!

Her Highness detests celery.
To mix said vegetable with peanut butter is clearly an abomination. >:(

And I can't f*cking stand it either. :-X

But I'm happy you DON'T have anemia, G.R.H.! :D

I eat em whether bulking or not. Natural pb and sugarless jelly. I'll sometimes eat ritz crackers w/pb, killer snack but a little to much sodium.

The very first gym I trained at was a small gym made in the backyard at this mans house.  His name was Doc.  He was an actual doctor then retired.  He did everyone workout book.  To gain weight he always put everyone on PB&J sandwiches.  He would have us eat one loaf of bread a day and make sandwiches.  Strawberry Jam is my favorite and Jiff PB.
