Uh oh.

From Fox Sports:

Michael Vick reluctantly surrendered a water bottle to security at Miami International Airport that contained a residue "closely associated with marijuana," police said Wednesday.

The Atlanta Falcons' quarterback entered a concourse Wednesday morning at the airport with the 20-ounce bottle. He eventually handed it over and boarded his flight to Atlanta. But his initial reluctance to turn over the bottle aroused suspicion among airport security screeners, a police report said.

The bottle was found to have a hidden compartment that contained "a small amount of dark particulate and a pungent aroma closely associated with marijuana," the report said. The compartment was hidden by the bottle's label so that it appeared to be a full bottle of water when held upright, police said.

I know drug testing is kind of a joke in american sports.

But doesnt weed stay in your system really long, so it's easy detectable?

It's not so much the fact that he uses weed it's the fact that he was foolish enough to try and get it past security on a plane.

Smoking weed in your house is one thing. Trying to get it onto a plane in a water bottle with a secret compartment is another.

I wonder if he has an ID for his Ron Mexico persona.

I just think with all that he has gone through this year, it makes it a bit worse then it really is. Although with the type of year Vick had (professionally and personally) I might understand why he is smoking some weed in the first place.

The NFL needs to revise its drug policy. Marijuana has been proven to be harmless in various scientific studies, so if they're gonna punish people from marijuana use, they should do the same for a drug that's a lot worse and that's alcohol.
