Concerning the ACTIVE roster…
Outside of Michaels, I believe that Taker has been with the company longer than anyone. I’m not including any of the legends who make sporadic appearances, or men like Hogan and Piper, who’ve come and gone over the years.
Taker’s agility for someone that physical size is unparalleled.
He’s gone through numerous character changes and story lines.
Some have been phenomenal, while others have sucked balls.
His character and image have been reinvented numerous times, while still staying true to the original “phenom” persona.
He bridged the gap between the
“80’s era and Doink the Clown” era,
the Clown era and mid-90’s era,
mid-90’s era and “Attitude” era,
“Attitude” era and today.
Determining the “best wrestler” includes things like drawing power, mic skills, ring work and longevity. And based on those criteria, then yes, Undertaker is one of the best ever in the history of the WWF and the business in general.
