Apart from the mad weather with 13 people killed, Big Brother was the only news worth watching here this last week. I can't usually bear reality TV, but I tuned in mid-week when the "racialism" (that's Jade Goodyspeak) kicked off.
Come on, for a silly tv show to make world-wide headline news (I don't know, did it make the US broadcasts?) is kinda outstanding.
I mean, to hear Jeremy Paxman (and Blair and Brown and today Ken Livingstone) banging on about it was fantastic. Did anyone see what Julie Burchill had to say? haaaaaa
Watching the most talked about, most complained about and highest viewing figures ever show was the place to be last week.
I'm not sure that I have an opinion though. I feel sorry for the ignorant uneducated "white trash" Jade Goody (but I read someplace that her unknown father was kinda darkish) and I so felt sorry for Shilpa, since she didn't have a clue what was going on but held her temper and held her nerve. Is the show still on or is it over now?
Yesterday they were saying they were taking Goody straight into police custody and that's how come they weren't allowing the public anywhere near her (for her own protection?
It was entertaining.
I don't exactly approve of that kind of entertainment and I doubt I'll watch it again, but it was so very funny watching the headline news.

Diesel, you're in Bradford, so I doubt you'd recognise 'racialism' even if you unfortunately happened to step in it ??
i-rate, okay?
