Lol, I still can't believe the way you all respond to this thread. Mostly I'm amazed because you all say you wouldn't have a woman as a friend, and yet, I and mostly every woman I've ever talked to, have male friends.  Are we all sharing the same four sensitive, arty, metrosexualish, new agey, eunichs alive in the world today?     

And if you don't like women as friendship material, how can you stomach having a girlfriend/wife?  I mean, isn't the SO supposed to be "the best friend" of all? How can you spend so much time/eternity with a member of the OS if you can't even contemplate being friends with one. (And don't say because of the blow jobs or sex or whatever...  )

I actually enjoy hanging out with the girls in my group. They're some of the most down to earth, chill people I know and I have no problem with them at all. But then again, I still want to fuck everyone of them.

No, there are a lot of fags in the world.   And even more guys who will be "friends" with a woman because they want to fucck them.

No one said we couldn't be friends with women...  what we're saying is that if sex is off the table, we tend to lose interest fast.  Between women we ARE screwing and our guy friends, who the hell has time to do tea and crumpets with some chick who won't even put out?

Deedee, I know a this hot girl who has about 20 males friends. Guess where she got them? From dates and from dudes who are hanging around for the opporunity to hit it. All of them waiting to be "put in the game". I was going to be the 21st....but I am an "associate", and don't care about being in the "friend-zone".

Being friends with a girl can also turn on you.  My best friend dated this chick for two years before we started hanging out and being friends.  We're friends for two years at this point and he wanted us (me and the girl) to be friends.  Well, they broke up and this bitch asked me to prom and she also wanted me to do her a favor, I go over to her house and she wanted to fuck.  If she wasn't my best friends ex I would have done he but this is further proof not to befriend chicks.

Usually the guy friendships last about 3 months, then when the hopeless factor sets in, they're gone.  

The only ones that last are the ones from childhood or school, because you shared so much, and even then, they still would have tried at some point. The only reason these things work is because you tend to go out in a horde, like BF/GB said, or you've both met each other's SO and everybody gets along. And of the few strays who have hung around, usually they phone when something's crappy in their lives and then of course, you can hear the bf in the backround going "what does that loser douche ( ) want now?" The work husband thing works because you leave and go home at the end of the day.

It's kinda sad though...

Of course! But most women are not attracted to their guy friends so that doesn't happen all that often. Men are of the "bring beer, come naked" mindset so it's usually up to women to keep it under control.

But notice how all the guys say NO to girl friendships, and yet every girl has at least one, so somehow these numbers aren't matching up.
