Cannabis was one of the most valuable plants to early humans, as well as some of the first civilizations in the MiddleEast and Asia. It was used to make clothing, it was also used for medicinal purposes and was considered important crop in general. It's plausible that those bible verses are very real, as cannabis was probably well known and important to early christians and semitic people in general. Of course most people will not have any of this, so any information on cannabis in ancient times is very difficult to come by. That's all I can say for now as I'm pretty fucking high and just drank vodka and diet 7up.
