Ok pal. You want to play this Pride vs UFC thing? Anderson Silva is a Pride fighter who systematically dismantled the best UFC fighter in his division in less than 3 minutes in his second fight and there's no one that can even contend with the guy.

Herring hasn't fought in Pride since 2004, that's almost 3 years. He's been nursing injuries, fighting in K1 and getting old. You don't stay at the top forever. By the way, you haven't been watching MMA a day over 6 months. You didn't even know the guy's been fighting in K1 for 2 years.  ::)

CroCop is going to do it and Rampage will be right at the top, too.

In all fairness, everything said in this post is 100% spot on. Dont forget Silva also KO'd Chris Leben in his debut - something that some people thought was verging on impossible and certainly hadn't been done before. In K-1 Herring wasnt exactly an active fighter because of his injuries, but he did beat Big Daddy by KO before he came to UFC. He had maybe 3 fights in just over 2 years so it is fair to say theres no chance he was ring ready or even near his best.

Crocop doesnt even have a legitimate challenger in UFC, im pretty confident that if Josh Barnett came back to UFC he would walk through the HW division. And weve all seen what happened when Mirko faced him on more than 1 occasion. Rampage will get a few impressive wins, but i dont think hes going to have a good night against Chuck. I think he and Tito match up very well though, that would be a great fight IMO

Ahh...G. You're known as getbig's resident genius, no? Wait...who the f**k are you?  ::)
What weight class has Matt Lindland fought most of his fights in?

That blown up middleweight destroyed Jeremy Horn who once choked your hero out.

it is my personal opinion that if hes going to fight around 210 then he IS a blown up MW fighter. He specialised in that division so to say hes a natural HW is absurd

 he is a naturall lightheavy, but that doesnt matter - the most important thing is that he steps up the best of the best and Matt will fight at his natural weight - around 200lbs.

theres a reason its called offseason. Hes not exactly in peak physical condition when hes 20lbs or so over his normal weight. Plus if hes fighting at 210 then he has to find an extra 10lbs from somewhere and as i previously stated, thats not going to be muscle at this stage of his life

Since you are from UK - Is Bisping really one of the top lightheavies  there? Waht about Thomson - not very impressive in Pride!

I would say hes definitely a top ranked UK fighter, ive seen some of his fights from when he started and i believe he really IS that good. His future is very bright, with 4-5 fights under his belt i think he could give the division a wake up call. Hes not gonna give Chuck a fight any time soon but hes just as good as, if not better than Forrest. I really believe that, his subs are shit hot and he has a swagger of confidence in his ability that shows hes not arrogant but he knows what he can do

If you say it I guess that makes it true, right? Whatever you say, Sparky. :-* I've been watching mma since before you knew it existed.

He looked horrible last night !!! He has heavy hands .....But he's slow as well as sloppy!!!!   It's MMA !??  What did he think ???? His opponent was going to stand in front of him ?

 He did ZERO to defend himself against takedowns...

His guard is absolutely atrocious. Zero legwork and his hips are completely dead.  It's a common problem for big guys as they don't get put on their backs too often and therefore don't work the guard.  Ironically, he's good at rolling back to guard from the turtle position. He did that often in the Fedor fight, but once he gets to guard,  he immediately gets passed.

there are way too many of those fights in the UFC. was herring even hurt? good on O'Brien for working his strategy and doing what he needed to win, but it was pretty pathetic. how many times did he have herring's back or have him fully mounted and he wasn't even close to finishing him.

'95 bro. ;)
The first mma fight I saw was Royce Grace choking out Ron VanClief. After that I was hooked. I followed the UFC from the early days.
