I think if you put Lee and Arnold on a stage the result would be clear-cut. Lee would have it in 'the bag'! OK, Arnold has the height, arms and chest but that's all. Lee is the total package. Yes, he is a very short man but being that way is not a disadvantage. In fact it makes Lee's physique appear larger than it is. His short little arms and legs look monstrous in size compared with the great Arnold.
Lee can match it with Arnold in the area of 'trash talking' as well. Both have never 'walked away' when it comes to speaking their mind. Both men are warriors in the gym but Lee is certainly more determined. He has always had to work around his clear height disadvantage. Arnold never had this problem. Yes, Arnold's superior height gave him a presence that is legendary. Lee has always had to deal with the jibes about his height. It is a credit to him that he never let it stand in the way of him reaching immortality in ranks of Professional Bodybuilding! Short men can walk with the giants! Keep the dream alive Lee, and dont take any 'smack' from those negative 'industry insiders'.
Bodybuilding fans the world over ,would, without question ,put Lee above Arnold in any contest.
Train hard, live free!

Considering Arnold peaked over 20 years before Lee, of course it's not going to be even, but I feel it'd be much closer than you think.

A more appropriate match would be Lee vs Franco or Padilla. Either way, Lee kills Arnold in Arms and legs, the rest I'd have to see again.

Arnold... all the way.
you really seem to be on his nuts.
Take Lee's cock out of your mouth, and step away from the bodybuilder.
Precisely; it would be much closer except in your deluded mind.

On arms, no. It's completely down to personal preference. I'd take Arnold's arms both for the shape and flow that longer limbs allows.

Ah... But Slin... you forget the most important thing - politics! Coming from Cuba the way he did, Sergio knew enough about politics to get a day job. Even though He had some of the best BBing potential of anyone - ever. Arnold's accomplishments in life are phenomenal. But he's overrated as a BBer. He was never in the league of todays champs. My vote goes for Lee. Even at their best, Arnie's legs had a long way to go in filling out if he was going to compete today. It may not have been a possability at all. And, Sergio's the only one ever, w/ arms on par w/ Priest IMO.

One word - legs. Actually two - legs and delts.
You didn't need remarkable legs or delts back in the day but now you do. Arnold would look skinny.

Its like comparing a 1960s Indy car to present day. Quit venerating Arnold. Respect him for his impressive achievements. Yes, he had a hell of a upper body, but that era didn't even know about Quads till Tommy Platz!

Entirely wrong, because you're forgetting Arnold's dominance in that era. In that era he and Oliva were the two best, so he was not over-rated. His legs were fine then, especially because he compensated for a typical early 70s lack of size with very good cuts, shape, good posing & great calves. Also, in regards to today's BBs you've again neglected to offer any balance-his waist didn't have the GH bloat plus his aesthetics were/are still superior.

I agree about two completely different eras. I think Sergio had Arnold beat in many areas, but Arnold was much better at presentation. But comparing the guys from then to Today is not even a contest IMO.
It gets down to personal preference. If a guy dont like the look of todays top guys thats personal.
Sergio, Bertil, Marcus, Lee, and Dorian are some of my Favs. I dont care if they never won a thing.

Politics pal. Arnie was very marketable. Who is to say that toothpick legs on a massive upperbody is more astetic than Bertil at his best or Metzner, Vitor etc. Wieder inc was the IFBB then, what was good for them was a winner in their book. Thats life.
