Doubt it.  Cannot do it in time for 08.  If a Republican wins in 08, he will run as an incumbent in 2012 (unless it's McCain?).  Plus it's a long haul to the amend the Constitution.  They need 2/3 of the Congress and 2/3 of the states to ratify.  Very difficult.

So, he'd need a Democrat win in 08 and ratification by the Congress and states by about 2010.  I guess it could happen, but I doubt it.

I don't think Medford was talking about 08.  It's quite obviously to late.  Maybe if they did it right now but that's not happening...  I do think that when there is an attempt to amend the Constitution on this it will have a chance at passing and if it does and Arnold is seen as doing well in California then he will have a chance... If we're around that long...

Oh here, let me get that for ya... " ::)"

Erm, that's what you call a fact?

I know a limo driver in Sacramento who has had him as a client on several occasions.  He's told me some stories.  Also remember when he was on Monday night football this year when the Raiders were getting slammed?  He says to the announcer:  "It's a miracle the way the Raiders are playing now"  insinuating the Raiders were playing well.

He's a great body builder and a good action film actor, both of which need little smarts.  As for being governor,  that's what your staff is for, you just make the speeches.  It would be the same in the white house except on a grander scale.......... do you really wnat that?

Hey what ever, don't mean to burst your bubble.

Are you making decisions on Arnold based on want his PR has been feeding you all these years?  How smart is that? ::)

I disagree Ozmo.  He may have a problem keeping his pants up and his hands to himself, but that didn't stop Clinton from being prez.  We are talking about a man who amassed a multi-million empire and has been successfully running the largest state in the country.  That counts for a whole lot in my book.  I'm willing to consider someone who can successfully run a big business (among other qualities).

If people like Arnold for president based on his politics, then good for them because I feel much better about no longer being in California because I basically don't believe in his political philosophy any more.

With such irrefutable evidence (as provided above), how could I argue?!  But seriously, it isn't a fact to label Arnold as 'stupid', even if both you and I agree he is (which I don't).  Try and not confuse your opinions based on third hand evidence and poorly quoted remarks with facts.  This should help your ability to debate effectively.

Arnold would be an alright president. For one, he's not really tied down to any party's ideals, which would mean he'd pretty much be a free thinker on most issues and would actually be willing to go in the direction that's best for the American people.

What's irrefutable evidence anyway?

I never said it was irrefutable.............  you seem to be real concerned about it however.

fact

NOUN:

Knowledge or information based on real occurrences: an account based on fact; a blur of fact and fancy.

Hope this helps.

I missed him on MNF.  But if he knows nothing about football then that is one giant demerit for him.   :)

Yes Clinton is very smart.  I also think it is difficult, if not impossible, to amass and maintain a half billion in net worth (I think that's about what he is worth?) if you're not very smart.

Arnold may not be a book smart, but he is clever and there's no denying that. Like you pointed out, how elese would Arnold achieve what he has without some form of intelligence? He also seems like a firm decision maker.

I think I'm not alone when I say that it would refreshing to see someone who's not the usual elitist preppie in the white house..

He'd probably be a good prez, something like Bill Clinton but more interesting and not as politically correct, because he's a social moderate, because he's smart and mainly because he doesn't follow the usual politician's boring, predictable behavior. Is more in touch with the electorate IMO, able to provide reasonable, moderate progressive decision-making socially combined with Republican approaches on the economy. Most people would appreciate that, as has been seen recently.

Unlikely to have the opportunity to be Prez, but could play a substantial role in the cabinet.

Arnold's 'smart'?? Don't let OzmO know this, he's convinced the opposite is fact.

Jeb already has the wheelsin motion to run against the dem winner, or Mccain, in 2012.

Watch and see.  Dueling dynasties for 32 to 36 years.  Incredible.  By the time Hilary, then Jeb finish, Chelsea will be ready...

Actually Schwarzenegger looks like a genius compared to most of the stiffs seen in American politics. Most of the better candidates like Schwarzenegger never make the jump from private industry to politics unfortunately.
