Is homosexuality genetic?  The indoctrination of my generation is to accept this as fact without thinking about the issue critically but I can't accept anything like that.  I don't believe that a homosexual person has the choice in feeling as they do, but I'm trying to find compelling evidence that it is genetic.  My current view is that it is a maladaptive trait but routed in genes somewhere.  One of my gay friends didn't actually realize it until he was around 20.  I think that was due to social construction of sexuality while as males we are programmed to believe we should be attracted to women.  I think it created cognitive dissonance in his case which took many years of uncertainty to overcome.

bodybuilding as a sport fails when it becomes too sexual.   I think figure competitions are walking a very fine line.  (personally, I think it is degrading for athletes to be judged while wearing high heel shoes)  The more erotic it becomes, the fewer regular fans will attend.  There are not enough schmoes around to fill those seats.

First it is just an age thing.  Second it's your genetics.   

Most 20 somethings are twinks.  They're young and lean and generally have less body hair, less facial hair.   As you get older the average guy becomes more bearish.     They become heavier, hairier, more likely to have a beard.

However, there are some 20 year olds who are quite bearish, and many 40 year olds who could never pull off the bear thing.

Bears and twinks rarely socialize together.  Again, that's mostly an age thing.
