I bump into someone I went to highschool with

and they act

like we were friends or something, when we weren't, unless they played sports I am sure I didn't even talk to 'em

I don't have the energy to pretend I like someone when I never did...it might be a touch rude though

Try going to a reunion.  Happens all the time.

the same thing happens to me on myspace...people know my name and swear we went to school together, i have to look them up in my yearbook to make sure.  if i was not your friend then...why would i care now??? :-\

what's the big deal Med? They may have had some good memories from their schooldays & bumping ino you may have reminded them of probably a better time.. would it kill ya to be polite?

Yeah, that happened to me a few months ago. Saw someone I went to high school with in the gym. We shared friendly banter and I genuinely like the guy since he was nice to me. We weren't close friends in high school, but I had no problem just being cool with him and enjoying the moment. That's how new friends are made, after all.
