All this science...
« on: January 31, 2007, 12:38:22 PM »
Everyone seems to know the best way to get ripped, bulk up and get in shape.  It just seems to me that it all ends up boiling down to...

Lift heavy, eat light (calorie).

Why all the confusing talk?  I just stick to that and I have been very happy with my results.

Honestly.  I read all about gravity suits, energy and heat, krispy cremes and I'm just struggling to find out why it needs to be so confusing.

The Tony Principles:

Bulk:  Eat more than you expend
Cut:  Eat less

Stay away from saturated fats and refined sugars.  Fat has more calories per gram than protein, carbs and alcohol.  Smoking is gross.

Most of all...IF IT AINT BROKE, DONT FIX IT.

Oh...one more.  Just because it confuses you doesnt mean you are dumb for not understanding.  I see people on this board confused by the theories of others and they treat that confusion as ignorance.

Maybe you are confused because frankly...what others are saying makes no damn sense.

Exactly why you are wrong in your thinking.
You don`t need to stay away from any sugars or fats.

I find that eating the type of sugars found in cookies, donuts and "sweets" sets me up to crash and ultimately effects my training.  If I eat starches, sweet potatos and rice cakes I dont have that crash feeling later on.

Again, this is just for me and my own experience.  I believe it is working and has worked and that is the reason why all the talk on here about off the wall dieting and eating confuses me.

I am a mamas boy by heart and she would be unhappy if I told her God was a myth and I eat ice cream, donuts and sweets all day.

I am just poking fun but honestly, I dont know many people that can digest that as truth.
