Hugo's little southern coalition is going to be one of the next two big targets in our lifetime.
After we get done securing every resource and asset in the middle east, there's Russia, China, and Venezuela.
China has men and nukes. They will be a beast and preferably contained. They have been fiesty though.
Russia still has 30 years before they flirt with being a superpower again, but they're about to do a huge rebuild.
Venezuela is forming a tight coalition with other nations in S. America. They believe the US is out to invade them eventually and take their resources and put in puppet govts. Now, that might not be enturely untrue - after all, by the time we manage the middle east, the Venez. oil, and water/agriculture down there is going to be a sexy thing. Imagine this: What if iran, iraq, Afghanistan, Saudis, and Syria had formed an alliance BEFORE the US invaded Afghanistan? Would it have been a lot harder? You bet your ass. And uniting like this is what Hugo is trying to do, to prevent the US from invading nation by nation under silly tenses, as we're currently doing in the middle east.
Will be interesting to see what happens down there in the next 30 years.
