u can't really compare the 2 lifts.  2 totally different muscle fibers and energy systems are required for a high rep bench and a single.

So you are telling me if you can bench 225 ten times and I can bench 225 twenty times you might be able to out bench me on a max lift?  BS

This is one of the dumbest arguments I've seen in a while...there is NO equation of reps=max rep.

This would be like a sprinter taking his time in the 100 meters, and trying to translate it into how fast he would run the mile....

well, chick. I believe there is a  chart somewhere that explains this theory. but I have yet to experience it..haha. I have more than two dozen jerks in my Gym benching 225lbs evry freaking day for God knows how long. none of em ever max out, ans I doubt these fools would handle maximum weight. they're averaging reps arounds 30 to 35 with the 225lbs. tHERE IS AN eXCEPTION TO THIS cHART

Example: The first column all the way to the left is the weight that you are using. So let's say you use 135 lbs. If you can bench 135 lbs for 8 reps than your estimated one rep max is 167 lbs. So just slide your finger across the page and line it up with the number of times you can lift the weight. Yes you can use this chart for other lifts such as the squat as well.

in some cases yes that is what I am saying.  of course there is a fine line but I know of people that can bench say 225 for 12-13 that do not have the 1 rep max of someone that may only be able to bench 225 10 times.  would you not say there are people who are able to bench 225 70 times compared to  someone that may only be able to do it 50 times but are able to produce more all out strength and power into a higher 1 rep max than the first person.

i hope you all know that doing 20 reps at a certain weight will NEVER guarantee a few reps at a much higher weight.

If you've done your homework you know that there are slow twitch fibers and fast twitch fibers in everyone's muscle composition. One helps with high-reps/ endurance-type movements, and the other for heavy lifts. Everyone has a different makeup of these fibers so you can never safely say that one lift is proportional to the other.

someone like lance armstrong could probably squat 135 pounds for an hour without end, because he has that type of leg endurance (muscle fiber type) but he probably wouldnt be able to crack 4 decent reps with 225. Just because he is more inclined to high-intensity/endurance type movemnts than short bursts of strength.

i know that there are type a and tybe B fibers (in the slow twitch)
and only one kind of fast twitch. but all im sayin is that you can never know unless you do it! stop with the freakin charts and equations and "probably"...do it...and you will know.

ahhh! tired of typing this shit!

Took you some time. You deleted and reposted those pictures of your fantasies three times.. so that would classify an owning in itself.

i tried uploading it but kept getting "ptp404:homosexual-overload-error-brutal&disgusting.html"

i guess the uploading system has some kind of filter for that  :o...i must appologize.
maybe next time if your pics weren't so brutal they would upload easier.

Maybe next time you could crop my face on a naked dude so you could keep it on the background.

well i figured you'd be the best for that since you have your "MY PICTURES" folder full of possible combinations.

This is one of the dumbest arguments I've seen in a while...there is NO equation of reps=max rep.

NO equation? What a bunch of BS. Take a poll of 10 500lbs benchers and ask them how many reps they can get with 225... how many do you think do less than 20 reps for example? Not one.
I'd say all of them will be doing at least 40 even of they NEVER trained for high reps. Not everyone does the same amount of reps with 225 of course, but there is a range in which they fall and it's not 10 or 20 reps that's for sure.

This is the internet. You don't even have to work out to bench 500. Pay attention.

It seems to be "fairly" accurate give or take a few pounds for me... Maybe it's just because I'm and average kinda person.
