U.N. climate panel says warming is man-made

The United Nations panel, which groups 2,500 scientists from more than 130 nations(vs. Bruce's KnowitallScientist), predicted more droughts, heatwaves, rains and a slow gain in sea levels that could last for more than 1,000 years.

The scientists said it was "very likely" -- or more than 90 percent probable -- that human activities led by burning fossil fuels explained most of the warming in the past 50 years.

It is a political issue.
Seems to me that Kyoto protocol was written 95. How much did Gore or Clinton do to stop global warming.
Zero, more SUV's and Coal plants were produced.
Reagan had the least amount of carbon emissions, but don't tell the democrats.

Now Gore is a convert after he ignored the problem for 8 years. It is crap these changes should have been started 11 years ago. He is as responsible or more then anyone else.

The problem is so large and complex no one can really deal with it because it is tied to economics. I mean it is fine to try to fix the problem but are developed countries ready to hand over all their factory work to places in Africa and are we willing to give poor countries free technology.

absolutely right.  we should treat this like a meteor coming at earth, and work together.  people will try to exploit it for political gain, on both sides.
