It wasn't quite that cold in my neck of the woods, but I did close the window and break out the blanket last night.   :)

Right.  Once cold weekend and we can forget about the last 3 months of odd weather, the days it was 79 one week then freeze killed the oranges in Cali and Fla last month, etc.

One cold snap does not a normal winter make.

You have NO idea how cold sub-70 degree weather can be.  It's currently 68 and today's high will be 79.  Brrrrrrrr!

OH NO!!! ODD weather! has to be global warming! Forget the record amounts of snow in Anchorage, or the first time I have seen snow in the 3 years I have lived in MO...

You may poke fun all you want at the reports of global warming I-One.

Problem is, what if you and your anti-global warming believers are wrong? What then?

We don't get a second chance at changing things.

As far as weather being cold in Hawaii for a couple of days? ::)

Anyone really think that would matter?

Besides, some parts of our world may actually get colder due to the global warmth. The warm Gulf Stream that brings warm wind and water towards UK and Scandinavia, is predicted to fade if the surrounding waters and climate gets warm enough.

If the Gulf Stream fades out, we'll have permafrost in Scandinavia. We'd be fcuked, basically.

If you think that explains away global warning, you have far bigger problems right now then global warming!

Right now i'm all for global warming here in the Northeast, so are many others. We had some balmy January days as a possible result of it & el nino.

Now of course it'll probably have long-term negative consequences but quite frankly it's very under-reported just how many are in favor of global warming! 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

Whoa!!!! wait a minute, you use the argument "what if you and your anti-global warming believers are wrong? What then?

We don't get a second chance at changing things." but what if you and your anti war buddies are worng about being able to "talk" with radical muslims. Do we miraculously get a second chance at that?

Unwise to assume; could be either we don't know.

Then why is it wise to assume that it is global warming? Which viewpoint is more or less wise?

How do you know for certain that the industrialized world that we live in has had no effect?

this from the same guy who said that he wouldn't believe in UFOs, no matter how many videotaped incidents there are.

militarym, i have a feeling that you are the stupidest person in every room you enter.  Seriously.  You tell us absolutes, and say that no amount of evidence could ever change your mind.

Because UFO sightings can be explained in other ways, just like all the sighting of the UFO in the desert of Nevada, funny flying wing shaped looking thing...few years later low and behold...the wonder of the B2. All things can be explained. Video doesn't prove anything.
