You are correct.

But the reason for it's effectiveness is not just the physical appearance, but more because women read into things a lot, and being in shape + being presentable = they will read into you a lot differently than if you = not in shape.

from my experience there are two sides to the coin.

1st is - a good body in shape just makes u look better, and gives u wayyyyyyy more attention from chicks.

the 2nd is - i sometimes get attention from 'sluts' (pardon my language) that seem to go crazy over muscly guys. eg on myspace...i had girls want to meet me, phone sex, all this wierd shit.

There's different ways of looking at this:

I've worked in pubs / clubs for many years, and usually the really big guys do come in with hot looking women (9 out of 10's). However, these chicks are usually all about their own appearance and just want someone nice looking (i.e. big guy) on their arm. Plus most of them spend the night shovelling shit up their noses.

The 7-8 out of 10 girls are usually nicer people, with a bit of personality as well.

But all this goes for the guys as well, we all want a hot looking girl, but most of them are not 'keepers'. That's fine when you just want to get laid, but for a long term thing you need someone with more about them or shit will get boring very quickly.
