She was sick after she had the baby and with all the emotional stress, and legal problems, it was just to much to handle for anyone.

THe baby is being guarded by some govt official's wife.

My guess is that some officials in the bahamas wind up with some nicer retirement packages, and that Stern, the baby, and the 400 mil never step foot in the USA again. 

The real question is, is there there anything that can be done to prevent something bad from happening to the child, should the lawyer take full custody and make himself the beneficiary of her estate?  What a horrible scenario if all 3 die in the year and this lawyer keeps every cent.
